But in most cases it takes two to create a situation where cheating occurs.

You have to acknowledge that relationships aren’t perfect, far from it. That’s why it’s important to forgive and forget. You’ve got to release the anger and never let it get in the way of your relationship again. If you can’t do this, you’ll never get your boyfriend back for long.

But what if you cheated on him? Of course, you’ve got to apologize. You’ve got to commit to changing yourself. If you can’t convince your ex-boyfriend that you’re sincere, you won’t get him back.

Get ready to pursue him a little bit. Don’t stalk him. Don’t flood him with emails or text messages. But you’ve got to show him that you’re really still interested in him. He’s not going to return simply because you decided you made a mistake and want him back. You’ve got to put your heart into it and eat some humble pie.

You might need to compromise. If he wants normal male female relationship for the start, accept this. It takes time to regain his trust. If you really want to get your boyfriend back, be patient.

Even if you followed all the relationship advice for women you ever heard, you still might have to accept that too much damage has been done. Your ex-boyfriend might not be able to ever forgive you.
