Plato walked forward, and before long, he returned with empty hands, having picked nothing. His teacher asked, “Why did you not pick any stalk?” Plato answered, “Because I could only pick once, and yet I could not turn back. I did find the most magnificent stalk, but did not know if there were any better ones ahead, so I did not pick it. As I walked further, the stalks that I saw were not as good as the earlier one, so I did not pick any in the end.

His teacher then said, “And that is love.”

On another day, Plato asked his teacher, “What is marriage? How can find it?”His teacher answered, “There is a thriving forest in front. Walk forward without turning back, and chop down only one tree. If you find the tallest tree, then you have found marriage.” Plato walked forward, and before long, he returned with a tree. The tree was not thriving, and it was not tall either. It was an ordinary tree. His teacher asked, “Why did you chop down such an ordinary tree?”

Plato answered, “Because of my previous experience. I walked halfway through the forest, but returned with empty hands. This time, I saw this tree, and I felt that it was not bad, so I chopped it down and brought it back. I did not want to miss the opportunity.”

His teacher then said, “And that is marriage.”

The 512 earthquake in Sichuan, China has destroyed many families and separated many peoples from their love ones. I am sadden to see that many children have lost their parents and parents have lost their children. Not to mention also wife who lost her husband and vise versa. It is just too devastating.

Among all the photos that I came across, I’m quite touch with this one. The photo shows a man tried to use his motorcycle to carry his wife’s dead body to the nearby mortuary. Reason being, he did not want his wife body to be exposed under that kind of condition in the ruin city. This is maybe his last chance to show his care and love to his wife.

I salute this man and hope that the journey was a smooth one.

I hope that the Sichuan peoples can recover as soon as possible in order to face the challenges ahead of them.

Have you ever been walking down the street, minding your own business, when all of a sudden, you see a drop-dead gorgeous woman that you’d cut off your right hand to meet walking along as well?

Would like to wish all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day!

Cuban president Raul Castro has lifted the country’s ban on the sale of petit bourgeois merchandise like computers, DVDs, video players and other consumer electronics goods. What does that mean to you as an internet user? Do you see an opportunity for your products to be sold in this socialist country of 11million population? Or do you see an opportunity to have a relationship with Cuban women? Can you chat or date Cuban women online? Previously electronic devices and appliances were classified as wasteful items.

The answers to these questions are rather negative. Reason being the computer is still beyond the reach of an average Cuban. It is still consider expensive to most Cuba peoples. The GDP per capita in Cuba is around US$3,000. Furthermore, access to the internet remains government-controlled. Assuming that the abovementioned barriers are removed, one still have to be proficient in Spanish if you want to make your present felt in Cuba. For your information, there are 240,000 internet users as of August 2007, around 2.1% of the population, according to ITU. Many internet marketers may not see Cuba as an attractive market.

In the past, government-run electronics stores have controlled what products could be sold to Cuban citizens. The legal purchase of a PC was often only authorized and within the financial means of foreigners and diplomats. Cuba’s proles must wait until next year before they can buy air conditioners, however. The dark influence of toasters won’t be seen until 2010 — allegedly due to limited power supplies.

“The country’s priority will be to meet the basic needs of the population, both material and spiritual,” Raul Castro said when he took office. The signal is clear that easy internet access will not his first priority because internet access is not fall under “basic needs” in most of the countries.

Dear Harvey,

Emm… I’m confused, where I should begin… First of all, I have read many books in the subject of relationship. However, I have a confession that I have yet to apply any of the techniques- no doubt I am positive that they work - for reasons ( or excuses in disguise?) I’ll explain.

I have recently come off a thirty year marriage and separated almost three years. The marriage ended on a sour note in a sphere of distrust and disappointment, leaving me with little self-esteem and self-worth. I know that I must get rid of this baggage and move on but I guess I am still in my comfort zone and I know that eventually that I will have to leave this comfort zone and “push the envelope” as they say in the air force. After all, I don’t expect a woman to turn up on my doorstep any day soon! I have to go and get her! - But first of all, I need a plan of action and know precisely what kind of woman I’m looking for.

I realise that I’m the only person that can do this. It is only me that can determine the outcome of what my future could entail. Every person is the master of his own fate or destiny. So, the next e-mail you receive from me hopefully will have more enlightening news.

Dear Peter,

I can see where you’re coming from with the divorce. Any type of break up can be hard to recover from. We’ve all been in situations where we were bent out of shape over a girl and depressed about the end of a relationship. But the key here is to TAKE ACTION. You don’t need to “push the envelope.” You just need to start doing “something”.

When you’re feeling your most depressed, lonely, and worthless is the exact time you need to start going out and applying whatever you have learnt. Because nothing gets you more confidence, more happiness, and more fun than meeting great women who actually like you and want to be with you! And it will make you start feeling better instantly.

I was at the gym last Thursday, and the guy working the front desk, who I chit-chat with from time to time, looked really depressed. When I asked him what was wrong, he told me he had just broken up with his girlfriend, and he was really bummed out about it. At this point, I let him know that I’m a dating coach, and I began to offer him some advice. The next time I saw him - this past Monday - he had a HUGE grin on his face. He came up to me and said “I can’t thank you enough for your advice. I feel much better now!”

You know what I told him to do? I told him to go out and start meeting more women “right away”. Because the only way to get over a girl is to get more, better girls in your life. And you know what? He actually did what I told him to! Low and behold - it worked! He has more self esteem, is happier, and not feeling so bad about his break up anymore.

Understand - the ability and willingness to take action is what separates the successful from the failures. If you want to be successful with women, you MUST TAKE ACTION!

First of all, I wish to say that the statement is not always true. This friend of mine, Steven, he knew this girl name Jean for about a year. He fell for Jean when he first met her at a party. He told me that he never felt this strong before, despite he had plenty of other girlfriends, but he really think that he was in love with this girl. Throughout the year of their relationship, he had never done anything sexual. Lately, during one occasion, he wanted to show his love for her and bring her pleasure. Unfortunately, Jean thought that all Steven wanted was sex.

I’m pretty sure that Steven had met his real women and Jean also found hers. Jean respects herself and Steven. It’s not that she’s not ready for sex; it was not the right time. The right timing for this lady is on her wedding night when she shares sexual pleasure with her husband. There’s far more intimacy, trust, and love in marriage than with a guy you’re just dating.

When a guy is after his girl for sex, that’s what he wants her around for. That’s why Steven had so many ex’s. Unmarried sex doesn’t mean anything except you’re having sex together. Also, one way or another, unmarried sex will kill the feelings and respect that you have for each other and there’ll only be sex without love. There’s no foundation in dating and you can’t treat it like marriage. When you put all these things together and a guy insists on having sex, then that shows he only wants the girl around for sex.

Next, ask her some questions about herself. Simple question like “Where is your hometown,” or “What do you do during free time.” Keep finding out more about herself until you find something you that you can blend into your own stories.

Remember that old phrase “We have so much in common!”?
