If you are too shy to meet up with women, here could be the solution. In June 2008, Sega Toys introduced the Eternal Maiden Actualization (EMA) robot. The curvy, feminine-looking android is 15 inches tall and can plant kisses on humans. Sega officials say EMA can “act like a real girlfriend.

This prompted me to think further. How long more will it take to see a 100% human like look and feel “robot”? Technology has advanced enough to satisfy our need for love and sex, we finally see the fantasy become a reality with the release of this robotic girlfriend. Is this what we want for our future? If the technology advancement makes the robots totally human like, there will a day that we see more human having a robotic partners rather than real human being.

The good things are more peoples will live happily because they can choose and “programme” their ideal partner the way they like. The introvert men don’t have to worry about no partner. The robots will be able to perform anything from housework to satisfying your sexual needs (And they don’t complain, I assume…). There will be no worry about food shortages since these peoples don’t eat like we do.

On the other hand, these phenomena will cause reduction in the world’s population. There will also be the day when human being ruled by robots as the number of real human will become too little to command. There will be a day when we don’t know whether the person we meet is a real one or robot (robot may also pick up one bad habit from the human being, lyingJ)

The EMA robot will go on sale in September for around $175 and will be targeted towards lonely adult men. Sega is hoping to sell over 10,000 units in the first year.

Using her infrared sensors and battery power, the EMA enters into a sort of “love mode” and will pucker up to kiss any nearby human heads. She can also walk and dance when in the presence of another human being. For the moment, this is what she can do but expect more from the future version of robotic girlfriend.
