His Love To His Wife

The 512 earthquake in Sichuan, China has destroyed many families and separated many peoples from their love ones. I am sadden to see that many children have lost their parents and parents have lost their children. Not to mention also wife who lost her husband and vise versa. It is just too devastating.

Among all the photos that I came across, I’m quite touch with this one. The photo shows a man tried to use his motorcycle to carry his wife’s dead body to the nearby mortuary. Reason being, he did not want his wife body to be exposed under that kind of condition in the ruin city. This is maybe his last chance to show his care and love to his wife.

I salute this man and hope that the journey was a smooth one.

I hope that the Sichuan peoples can recover as soon as possible in order to face the challenges ahead of them.

   Heartbreaking, inspiring. I can’t begin to imagine how he feels, it must be horrible. But that is a real man, who fulfilled his vows to her to the last moment. Reminder not to take love for granted.

   Thank you for taking the time to share that. As horrific as it is, it shows the real intent of a real person and how the commitment of love even in the most adverse and painful situations causes us to do things that could be measured as heroic on any scale. I sit here thinking of all the people running about stresing over work deadlines and ultra impressive service to the dollars in the pay check, stressed to the point of suicide and so on… This one picture gives perspective, maybe we should plaster that on a billboard to view on our rush to arrive at work, we might just all slow down and appreciate a moment that might be missed in the dialy rush.

    It is simply a reminder that we all need to reflect on the fact that we do not have to face such things in life. We need to truly appreciate those people that we care about each and every day!
